I have a maintenance plan purchased from Chrysler South Africa. They are insisting that the service interval is 15,000 kilos which is about 9,300 miles. My manual states service intervals that are much more frequent than that depending on the vehicle operating conditions. I have asked them for a letter accepting responsability and all costs related to a failure as a result of ignoring the recommended service interval and service schedule "B" (which matches my operating conditions).

Could others who have a maintenance/service plan please post here what intervals that their dealer works on their Commander and which maintenance schedules are used.

I am not trying to get something for nothing and simply want what I paid for and for Jeep's documented recommendations to be followed. No more, No less.

thanks

If I read between the lines it sounds like you purchassed a maintenence program AT a Chrysler dealer.
I don't believe Chrysler markets that over here....
I doubt if it is a Chrysler program because you indicate the intervals are extended beyond the intervals published in your manual.
If this was a Chrysler program that would be sort of self destructive, don't you think?

Regardless, if in your situation, I would likely throw an 'in-between' oil change at it on my dime for peace of mind.
That way, if a failure ever did occur I could prove over maintenence before anyone tried to shirk responsibility.

My thoughts,
Rob
