I was looking at my matience booklet and Jeep recommends replacing the sparkplugs at 30K miles? What the hell? It has coil over plug ignition. I dont know of any manfacture that still requires plugs at 30k. Anyone let it go farther?

I took mine in for 30K service a few months ago and asked to have this done, but my dealer said the plugs were fine (waste of money to have them changed at 30K). I guess I'll check them at 40K for gap & appearance.

We have not replaced ours (46K) and it goes back to dealership every 3K for service, they have not mentioned plugs to be replaced, can't wait to get that bill:rolleyes:

The Hemi has 16 sparkplugs. In my TJ where I use CHAMPION TRUCK PLUGS P/N 4412 I usually change them every 15k miles which is about a year and a half of driving. But those plugs are very inexpensive, I do it myself and takes only 6. I hadnt yet given any thought to when to change the Commander plugs but seems to me 30k miles is about the limit for most plugs. john
