Hi guys,
I'll try to summarize my disastrous 2 days as much as i can. I was off-roading in a desert and i put my jeep commander 4.7L 2007 in low and did some dune bashing. When i was done, I tried to go back to normal but its stuck in 4-low.

All this time "U0114-Lost Communication with Final Drive Control Module" code was detected. Went to a mechainic, he suggested that the transfer case actuator is the problem. Just to clarify that in dubai, jeep parts are not easy to get unless its a wrangler, so i went to the junkyard, got an actuator, installed, and issue remains the same.

Then comes transfer case itself, after wasting two days with mechainics and spending $$$ on motor and labor, changed the whole transfer case and issue remains the same.

at this moment, i am in an actuator and a transfer case and my issue remains exactly like it was, stuck in 4-low. when i try to disengage, it doesn't even blink (the bblinking 4-low light in dash).

I am really very frustrated and dont know what to do. Mechanics here are not very knowledgeable with jeeps so you guys are my only hope.

Appreciate your help on this.

I am curious as to how fast you were going during your "dune bashing" in 4-low?

Thanks for your reply. Fast no so much. Like 50 maybe. But aggressive yes. Might went up a bit from 50 too. It was a total of a 10 min session.

@faisalriazkhan You are not supposed to go over 25 mph (40 kmh) in 4-low. So you may have damaged something.

Since you've already done the hard (and $$$) stuff try checking the switch circuit. It may just be a faulty relay or the switch itself could be stuck.

Alright, it says Lost connection to Final Drive Unit... yet you replaced everything but that? Transfer case before looking into the FDCM is a bit of a drastic move. I'd check the connections to the front and read differentials as well. The wiring harness up to the FDCM, the. Fuse.
