Hi. I have a slight problem with my sunroof on my 2007 Commander, 76K miles. The VENT button works ok. If i push it, the sunroof opens to to VENT position like it is supposed to. If i hit the FWD , the sunroof closes like designed, ( i think). If i hit the REAR or AFT button the sunroof moves, like a 1/4" and stops. If i hit the FWD button, the sunroof then moves into the closed position. I watched it kind of closely, and it seems like the right side is pulling a touch faster than the left side, causing the sunroof to go a bit off center.

So, my question is, please, is what might be causing this, and can i fix it or dealer? i have no water leak issues. just the sunroof retract open and close issue.

Call your trusted dealer, there is a computer flash available for the sunroof.

Thanks. I have to take it to them for other work, also, as i just don't have the time myself to really get into it. I will post on here what the "fix" is...

I would spray both sides of the tracks with silicon lube and work forward and back before I let them play with it.
