Hi again, I've not posted for quite a while over the summer as we've been camping most weeks.

Anyway, a few jobs need doing over the next couple of months:
LPG conversion, as it looks like the price of petrol here in the UK is keeping high. Anyone had one fitted in the UK?? I'm looking at an Italian OMVL system?? £1,800 fitted.

I have my eyes on an air intake (airaid) and stainless exhaust (magnaflow) but they both need importing from the US.

Rear bumper smashed by someone in a carpark who didn't want to stay around and lose their no claims bonus (I have found a used one which needs painting and fitting).

24K service (doing the plugs myself, seems straight forward)

Brakes rotors warped (warranty I hope??)

Wheel spacers as the tyres are just catching the front anti roll bar (any ideas on size/ make)

and a damn good clean!!!

Cheers

mine needs a full detail done to it.

i'm not sure if you can convert the fuel injection over to LPG. i've only seen it done on carb's and on throttle body injection.

i got my wheel spacers off ebay. they are hub-centric. they are also 1.5" spacers. not sure what that is in metric stuff. has england finally converted over to the metric system yet? are wheel spacers legal in England?

have a bloody good day mate! cheers me duck.

I've just booked camping in Derbyshire (in the grounds of Chatsworth House) for 4 days this weekend so not much point in cleaning it today!! Got a few trails in mind.

There has been a lot of development in the UK with LPG as the government reduce tax on gas to keep it at half the cost of petrol.

This is the system I'm looking at: http://www.lpgc.co.uk/index_files/V8sequential.htm

Thanks for the advice on the spacers. They are legal in the Uk as long as the tyres aren't wider than the wheel archers. What does 1.5" sound like with 255/60/18 wheels?? The main difficulty is insurance companies as they aren't too keen on them. I'm with a specialist 4x4 insurer as they provide off road cover and mods are no problem.

Metric?? we've been between the two for the last 30 years...lol

hi rich. Yes I get a wheel wobble when braking from high speed, especially fully loaded with the caravan attached. Spoke to the guy at dealer and he said they will measure rotors (disks) for run out on the service and replace them if warped under warranty. Worth noting that he said if the dealers have tool for skimming discs they have to skim them, if they haven't they can replace them with new!!

Had the 4th service on Friday (done 18k). The dealer replaced the disks under warranty and fitted some "greenstuff" performance pads I supplied. Not done many miles yet but hopefully they will improve braking when towing.

The dealer replaced the disks as they do not have a skimmer. If the dealer has a skimmer they must use it rather than replace the disks. If the disks are skimmed and they are then below the minimum thickness it is considered as wear and they are not covered under warranty!!!

Booked it in for a new heater motor too under warranty as its the bearings are getting noisy.
