My 2006 Limited HEMI has the 17" chrome clad wheels with Forters HL's. Has just 28K but have suffered two flats from rock punctures.

What is the BIGGEST tire that you can run on a stock Commander with 17's?

Do any of the Wrangler Rubicon Wheels & tires tires fit without mods?

Love BFG's but what have you guys used or like. I want to beef up the look of the Jeep so it looks tougher, stock Forters just don't cut it.

Any pictures would be great--Thanks---

I just put on Good Year Wrangler Silent Armors...245/70/17...no rubbing, great traction in snow, quiet on the highway and a way more aggressive tread than the stockers.

I would have loved to put on mudders, but I had that on my F150 and it gets pretty loud...I must be getting old....check out the Silent Armors though...great tires!

I put Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos on my WK. I am running 255 65 R17's without any problems. I have never been happier with a set of tires. I had run Michelin LTX M&S for years. They are what is on my wife's XK. As soon as it needs tires again, Revos will go on it as well. The Revos are just more aggressive and fill up the wheelwell without rubbing. Many others like these tires as well.

Just my $.02.

Chuck

No lift and the 4.7 liter engine. My WK is a Rocky Mountain Edition.

I just replaced the Fortera's (suck  ) with Bridgstone Revos 245/70R17 today! Just a quite as the Fortera and much better looking tire. Also I can now really hit trails and not be worried about traction. No lift (yet), and no rubbing at full lock.

The Revos are much more agressive looking tires. They changed the whole apperance of my Rocky. The tread is much more agressive and they are quiet. I like them better than any tires I have ever had. I have not done any off roading since I got them, but they have never rubbed under any circumstance I have exposed them to.

Regards,

Chuck
