Hey everyone, its been ahwile - Anyways, I had some 255/70/17s put on and the mechanic told me the TPMS wont work properly. I dont understand that since the air pressure should be the same if its 35 psi no matter how big the tire.

Can someone fill me in if this isn't right?

I've got 255/70/17s and have no problem with the TPMS. They work just fine. You'll be fine.

Be sure the tires are supposed to be 35PSI most larger tires require higher PSI. my 265/70R17's are at 44PSI. At first the higher psi cause the tire light to come on, after a week or so the light went off and seems to work normally now (on with PSI drop).

My tires are 44psi also. I did not know too high of tire pressure will set it off.
