Hi all, I have an 07 Commander Limited. I recently went to check the tire pressures at the valves, and it seems the metal(chrome) caps I put on have seized on the valves. One, stripped the threads on the valve stem, one snapped the threaded end of the valve stem off! - thankfully the valve core is still intact. One cap I got off, and the last one is siezed on.

Anyway, I contacted some tire/wheel shops, and I found won guy that said he can just order new valve stems instead of having to replace the entire valve stem/TPMS module.

Is this correct? I thought I would have to replace the whole unit. what is the best way to go?
Thanks for the help!

I don't know if you can just replace the valve stem, but I do know that in the user's manual it says not to use metal caps as they can damage the sensors.
