So far I have not had any problems with trany but pull a 26' 4500LB travel trailer. Just curious if trany is same as Hemi or do v6 come with a different one? I do know that the v6 does not have limited slip differentials on front or rear. They are only offered in v8 models. This makes me question if trany is different also.
Any ideas please reply Thank you!!!:)

Since you are pulling more weight than what the manufacturer recommends for the 3.7 you will most likely eventually have transmissiom problems. Damage occurs over time not all at once.

The 3.7 V6 comes with a 5-speed, and is rated to tow 3,500 lb. Both the 4.7 and 5.7 V8's come with a mutispeed automatic with 5 forward speeds, with an alternate second gear for downshifting. The 4.7 is rated to tow 6,500 and the 5.7 is rated to tow 7,200 lb.:eek:rangehat:

So in the off-chance that I come into some money and want to do an engine swap (and the wife lets me), I would be better off going with a 6.1 over a 5.7?
