I've got just over 102k on my commander and there's a bit of front end noise both going over bumps and when the steering wheel is in a certain spot. I have inspected the front differential bushings and they are good.

I have a feeling I'm in for a new set of LCAs for sure. Anyway, when I remove the driver tie rod knock is still present. When I remove the passenger tie rod, the knock is gone. From inside the car the sound translates to the floor under the driver feet.

I'm guessing I should replace the LCAs and then move to the tie rods if this persists?

I'm really hoping this isn't a rack issue.

Video is passenger side.

Replaced the sway bar links and re-torqued everything. The knocking over bumps is gone but, the steering clunk is still present. It only makes the clunk when turning right and only one time until I turn right again.

After work today I removed the oil drip tray and tightened the steering rack mesh bolt about a 1/3 turn. Reinstalled the oil drip pan and test drove the Jeep.

Problem solved, thanks for all the tips and help tracking this down.
