I live on the coast and drive my vehicle in beach sand all the time. As you all know the Commander's underside has almost zero paint of any kind on it. What is the best way to protect this area? Would it be better to take to body shop and have it bottom painted or have some Ziebart type gunky spray-on applied?

Ziebart. Makes sure it's cleaned first. Although I've heard it argued that it's not such a good idea since it's entirely possible to get a little of the corrosive moisture under the coating over time which is bad. I think only a problem if you intend to keep the car for a long time.
