Hey guys,

I just received RC 2in lift kit. After installing it, I will upgrade the stock tires to 265/70 17.

I need to ask you guys, can I replace the stock shocks and coils with higher performance parts without lifting more?

Thanks,

Of course you can. I am curious as to what makes you ask that question.

I see that people here are using shocks like Bilstein 4600 or 5100 for lifting. I don't know, can I install it without lifting?
It sound dumb, but I am not sure if these shocks are customizable? can I simply modify the shock length before installing?

You can use shocks that are not OEM on an unlifted XK. Just get some that are the same size as the OEM.

@Nasr;

Bilstein 4600's are a direct replacement for the XK factory shocks. No lift required.
