Well I survived my firs trip to UNF:) I stayed on the trails rated moderate and that was plenty for me especially being by my self. I hit once my OEM running boards again I don't think I will ever get the chance to take them off I think they will get torn off first. Man the looks I got crawling threw there in my XK man unbelievable. At one point I saw three wranglers and a power wagon stopped in line so I crawled up the by pass and saw like 12 people standing at the top. They were filming and watching people attempt a pretty difficult climb. Well guess who got all the looks yup I did. Even my kids asked why everyone was starring at us I just laughed. I was just crawling by and got more attention then the lifted power wagon spinning up some big rocks. That being I said my wife and yes me as well were amazed as we cleared and passed every obstacle we came to, making it all the way to the end. I did go slow and my wife was spotting for me she loved it to, even moving rocks out of the way. When I get skid plates I will try the difficult rated trails but till then just the moderate. I will say a stock commander would have no shot at the moderate trails maybe the easy one maybe. Here are some pics I'm sure you guys know when your going threw the hair raising white knuckle stuff your not thinking about pictures your just praying you make it and drive your butt off.

Great pictures! I was looking forward to these, they get me more excited about my trip!

Hopefully we can line it up where both of us and other members will go the same day.

we got there Friday evening and left Sunday about noon. We did a little panning for gold but the wife wasn't happy with the location I chose and of course sal decided to get completely soaked head to toe in 3" of water:rofl: I laughed. The good news is I turned my wife into a off roader finally. She had so much fun spotting and taking pictures and said it was fun.

^What's a work day?
It's were you volunteer to work on the trails for the day. There is a group at NC4X4 that does it well there are lots of groups that do it. Pretty much what you do is go pick up trash put up guard rails and help maintain the trails and yes get to do some off roading as well. The next one is July 17 I think there doing a work weekend though for that one. The Forest Service received money for new trails and stuff with the stipulation they receive matching funds which when you sign in counts towards matching funds as well and you get a free OHV pass for the day as well. I was thinking of just heading up on the Saturday there going to work and work that day and head home probably.

Shoot, if I can get off of work that day I'll be there! I've requested a lot of July off b/c of my buddies wedding on the 3rd and I'm going to the All Chrysler Nationals July 9-11th.

I'll let you know!

It's cool work is so crazy for me I don't know where I will be next month my self. So I'm not sure if I'm going to make it either. But let me know when your trip is for URE I will do my best to make it at least for the day and hit some trails with you I'm only about an hour and a half from the out post.
