Just purchased a 07 Commander 4.7 Sport with the QT2. 130k, 4 owners. Service records are spotty but she seemed ok and I k ow the family that had her for the past 6 months so I pulled the trigger. I looked at some Hemis but with the year and how I have saw people treat trucks with a hemi badge I decided the 4.7 was a better route. Probably gonna grab some RR 2.5 blocks and slap some 265 70 17s on her because coming from a FJ Cruiser I feel like I'm driving my wifes nissan......

Shes got power windows and tow package but nothing else. Cloth seats, base radio and the parking assist doesnt work but I know.how to use mirrors so that's no big deal.

Gonna swap in new diff and xfer case fluids tomorrow and start checking her out a little more when I can get her on my buddy's lift. There seems to be a shortage of Commander specific tutorials so I'll dig a bit more and maybe try my hand at filming some stuff.

Anywho, I'm kinda long winded since all I get to talk to most days are a 8yo amd 4yo so I enjoy casual adult conversation. So, here's to becoming a "Jeep Guy".

Cheers,
Chris

I kind of accidentally became a Jeep person too.
I drove chevy clunkers in high-school and the first two years of college.
Then I got my hands on a gnarly, $1000 98 XJ from a VW dealer who said, and I quote: "I just want that ****ty car off out of my used lot."
It was the most fun I had in a car. I drove it everywhere and banged it up more than a few times. When the odometer cranked over 210k, I sold it and bought a Liberty, which I ran for a few years, and when that rusted out, the commander was one of the only 4X4s I found that was under 100k miles, fit my budget, and ME. (I'm 6'3")
