They also found that what I saw leaking under the front were the transmission cooler lines.

So I got a new PS pressure line, 2 new transmission cooler lines and new PS fluid.

A couple items checked off the "to do list"!!!

I had my transmission cooler lines replaced as well a few years ago. Probably something most should just replace as a maintenance item given the age of our rigs.

Yea, I agree!! It switched pretty quickly from a preventative maintenance item to something that I needed to get done right away.

So....
It went in for its MOT and failed on the stuff the garage knew was wrong from the last massive bill (note to self - don't pay for labour on replacing front and rear shocks and front wheel bearings when loads of other stuff also needs doing)

So a huge box arrived form a cool bunch of guys here in the UK who specialise in aftermarket (and original) Jeep parts.
The box contains...

Front and rear brake Pads and Discs (MOT FIX)
Handbrake shoes (MOT FIX)
2 x Rear Wheel Bearing Hubs (MOT FIX)
Front upper control arms (MOT Fix)
Front Lower control arm bushings.
Anti roll bar links (CLUNK CLUNK)
Front Diff Bushings (CLUNK CLUNK)
Front and rear Diff fluid (Not sure if its ever been done but it pulls like a train and sounds ok)
Transfer case fluid (As above)

It's on on Tuesday. If I get away with a bill for less than £600 for labour I will be thrilled.

PS Don't tell the wife. I said it just needed a replacement bulb.

I finally got my driver/passenger window and locks working! Wiring harness.. at the door hinge three wires were severed. I had grabbed one at a pick-n-pull and checked it out, so just swapped that back in. So much relief, i was thinking it was going to be some broke wire deep behind the dash...

the one i pulled at pick-n-pull had a few broken wires, i just patched in some relief pieces. this morning there is a new stain on the driveway at the very front of the radiator.. fun times

welp, changing rocker cover gaskets this weekend just got a bit more adventurous, passenger went fine but opened up the driver side and these were laying in with the valves and rockers...

so ordered a timing chain kit with new tensioners, threw a radiator in the basket since it appears there is a leak midway on the drivers side there too from my new puddles...
