Ok so I've read over the 11 page 3.7 how to and other threads on spark plugs for my comm.
I was going to get NGK or Denso Iridium plugs to put in since the plugs haven't been changed and I'm at 44k.
But then I read that I need to stay with whatever brand is originally in there.
What is the OEM brand for the V8 2007 Flex fuel?
And can I go with the Denso or NGK?
Thanks!

Robby posted in here somewhere, he suggested the Champion 7318 Double Platinum.
Plug Change I directed this to my garage because it was easier to find the post
than his original one. Several other 4.7 owners have used this same plug.

Champion is the OEM brand to answer that question....

Thanks for the replies. That's the Champion one I was gonna get from Advance.
How many spark plugs do I need for my V8?
And it says they are pregapped at .40. Do they need to be at .44 or is the .40 fine?
Thanks!!

You will need 8. Not sure of the gap but it should be in the owner's manual.

If you read my post, I said I changed all 5. Well, I was being a smart xxx.
V6 = 6 plugs, V8 = 8 plugs Hemi = 16 plugs.

.040 is the reccomended gap.

Bosch plus platinum plugs

Hi,
I just changed my plugs to Bosch Plus platinum plugs. I have a 4.7L. Car runs a bit smoother, but the gas mileage is the same.

FYI. I did the same thing (Champion Platinums). Ran great for a bit, but then started hesitating and gas mileage started SUCKING. Talked to buddy at the dealer and he told me that NO jeep engine likes the platinum plugs. Better for Copper or Iridium, but stay away from Platinum.

I swapped mine out again yesterday back to the Champion Coppers (OEM) and got my 5.5mpg back.
