So I have discovered a slight clunk in my 4.7L. If I determine it to be bad rods when I drop the pan this week I have a bit of a plan for repair. To minimize my downtime Ill simply swap out the engine, BUT im wondering if it is possible to switch it for the 5.7L instead. Aside from the PCM, does anyone know what electrically would be different? or is this a swap that is more involved(such as like with an Audi where even the wireharness in the body is different with a different engine) I think there are some underhood configurations that are different too but I can work around those.
