My auto transmission has started to make a slight whining noise when under load such as taking off from a standing start. There seems to be no slipping and it still worked great last weekend at Land Cruiser 4x4 Park. I changed the trans fluid with the correct type as stated in the manual about 6 months ago. The noise gradually started about 3 months ago and is just a slightly raised level of a whine or a whistle.
The fluid level is correct when tested a full running temperature.
I though I just may change the trans fluid back to the previous brand and see if than makes a difference. Or could it just be some sort of sticking valve within the transmission causing the whistle or whine.

Any thoughts?

I believe this is the same transmission as used in the 3.5 liter petrol Commanders
