I was fortunate to contact Jeep corporate office and share my concerns regarding the design flaw and its safety hazard. Think about it, if you were in an accident or fire, there's no way out the car (aside from opening from the outside). Jeep did cover the passenger side door post-warranty, at no cost to me. Now my rear doors are bad, and I acknowledge to them that I have baby seats in the back, and those handles are hardly ever used since I have the child lock engaged.

 

Good call. It is a serious issue that probably most of us take don't too seriously.

My back passenger side door is the only one that is fully operational. The rest work but need to be pulled a specific way.
