Thats a nice clean look compared to the irregular, bolt-studded floor that I have back there. Now someone needs to figure out the PN# for that assembly and try it in their 3rd row equipped XK... to make sure it fits!

I like the design, if you notice, I folded one seat forward and you can see the floor is raised.Hopefully to clear existing rear seat brackets. ,next stop I talk to the parts dept to see how much this is.-43

 

I notice that there's no rear HVAC system in the truck, so that still makes me wonder if the ducting I have will fit under that floor pan. I know I keep bringing that up, but I use the rear HVAC to heat/cool the truck quickly, so I don't want it dumping air under the floor pan.

Other than that, it looks great. Just like Hemi said, all we need are part numbers and we can try it out.

 

there's a square hole visible in the 2nd pic. is that where the air comes back into the cabin from the back vents?

 

I would guess this is designed for jeeps without rear air since the only reason you would order rear air is if you had the extra seats. I bet you can't order rear air if your opt for the rear seat delete anyway.

Yeah, that would be a big concern for me too, as one of the only option I have is the rear HVAC system.But it seemed to me that he jack storage tray was the same dimensions as the seven pass version, and if thats where the ducting goes, it should fit, the floor pan is raised so I think there would be enough room.-43

You are probabely right, but if I know Mopar, they would change as little as possible in the basic design to control costs.I'm gonna try to call the dlr tomorrow and talk to the parts dept to see if they know (thats a longshot!)-43

I dont think so, thats the leading edge of the cargo "pan", and I think its an attatching point of some sort.I tried to see if this "pan" would lift up with some pressure, but it wouldnt move.As you can see it was getting dark, and I couldn't see that well, but it seemed pretty tight to the floor.-43

 

That makes sense. But notice that the floor in the picture is higher in the back and slopes down toward the front of the vehicle, which makes me think that there is room under the floor at the back for the air duct. The duct is located right beside the jack sorage tray.

Dont think they are one piece, seems to me there's just two pieces that are different, the jack storage cover and the floor "pan".-43

 

I wonder why they didn't carpet the rear? They could make more money by selling a "cargo area cover."

I would imagine (and hope!) that there is a way for the air crossover to work in there. The pipe kind of runs along in that space between the hatch latch and the jack, and it looks like there is room between the two to fit it under there. We will see.
