@Big Blue @GO4WD Would it be best to provide the build process over the years? I basically tested out each style of lift (2 inch puck lift, 2 inch puck lift stacked with 4 inch super lift, then the conversion to the JBA / super lift set-up). Let me know what would be the best way to do this so that maybe someone can see how it was done to possibly re-create it?
However you think is best @RJ.re ;

I had a similar progression from bone stock, to the 2 inch Rough Country Spacer lift which I ran for about 2 1/2 years, to the 4 inch Superlift, which I've been running for almost 5 years now.

It would be very helpful to see a full side-shot of your Commander, so everybody can see how it actually sits, in relation to the ground, with your JBA lift installed.

Have loads of pictures. I'll include descriptions within each so there isn't any confusion. Which thread should I post it in?

PS: Today is somewhat of an off day so I actually have time to do this!

Great, we appreciate it.

Some of the pictures were taken on older iPhones while the newest photos with the updated wheel setup are with a Sony. Let me know if there are specific parts that y'all would like close-ups on. Some of the pictures are not in the greatest quality.

I also took out the rear sway
Here is the link to the Album I created in Adobe: Commander with JBA Coilover suspension 6-8 inch conversion/ with 4" super lift

Jeep Commander:
BFG Goodrich 33" tires w/ pro-comp 69 series rims 17"
sits level with a stock f250

Older photos were those with the black wheels had wheel spacers and photos with silver wheels are without spacers?

All of these photos have the same system suspension setup though minus the rear shocks being changed.

Just for clarity, i understand this as a kit to modify an existing superlift 4" kit, not a standalone replacement.
It is pretty cool, and i appreciate your sharing @RJ.re

Yes, that’s right. I did this years ago as well. You have to have the super lift components in order to be able to install the rest of the JBA “red” parts. Back when I purchased the super lift on its own; JBA was selling their products with the super lift. The combo was around 7-8k if I remember correctly.

@Stircrayzy @fshnbob @Big Blue I should be picking the commander up tomorrow. I can get some more close ups underneath and side shots of it too. I just realized this was the forum for superlift alternatives. I didn’t realize that. I’m not sure how my set up would
be of much use to find an alternative.
I will say that if you can find parts for the superlift, slowly piece it together. I have had the superlift on there since 2012 and haven’t had any issues with the components other than normal wear and tear.

@RJ.re

How long ago did you purchase this Superlift modification kit from JBA?

Just trying to ascertain if this is still on the market or not.

I get the feeling that it's not - JBA probably stopped selling them, when the 4 inch Superlift for the Commander, was discontinued I'm guessing.

If I remember correctly I purchased it in 2018. To my knowledge super lift discontinued the 4 inch lift kit at the beginning of 2020. I could be wrong though.

I actually called Superlift directly, in October of 2021, when I first caught wind from a member here, that the Superlift was no longer available & I confirmed that they were no longer available for the Commander, or, the Grand Cherokee (WK).

See post # 8 in this thread.

The point being, that this JBA modification lift, is probably no longer offered by JBA, since the discontinuance of the 4 inch Superlift back in 2021.

Yeah that sounds about right. I had to get light modification for the rear shocks (to reinforce the tabs on either side of the jeep where the shocks mount to the frame) and had to call JBA for guidance on that. They were shocked that I had the complete kit. I thought these would have become more popular, however I do not think the kit reached peak popularity.

Most of the time I see people running the OME HD springs upfront with the superlift blocks for a grand total of 6 inches up front. The CV angles are horrendous to look at. I used to be one of these people that ran that for a while. However the drivability was terrible. There was literally no down travel left because of the extreme angles.

It's insane how great that looks. Get yourself some rock sliders so you don't break your neck stepping out of your Jeep.

Nice rims too.
Thank you! I would like to at some point. I'll keep that in mind for the future! I'm 6'1, I feel like my head almost hits the roof when stepping in haha

@Big Blue do you think forum members would be interested if I took the measurements for the JBA Fox Coil-overs so that way it would be possible for FOX to reproduce the additional kit? I have the means to do so; your feedback is greatly appreciated. Please let me know

@RJ.re

I'm sure there are plenty of forum members that would appreciate your efforts - you have my blessing.

Thank you! The guys over at Tribe 16 were saying the same thing!
